Description
Swalebeck House is a beautiful three-bedroom house sleeping six people, with boutique interiors, patio, garden and stunning panoramic views out across the countryside. Nestled in the charming village of Low Row, with the friendly country pub just next door, this is the perfect place from which to enjoy your next luxury break in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The ground floor consists of a large characterful open plan lounge area featuring a central fireplace with traditional wood burning stove. There are double-aspect windows facing south and west, and the sofas, armchairs and top-quality soft furnishings create a wonderfully welcoming and homely feel. With a starter pack of logs and kindling to get you going, this is the perfect space for cosying up to relax together as a family after days of fresh air and adventures.
The high-end finish continues in the kitchen dining area, with a superb bespoke country kitchen with range style cooker, Belfast sink and plenty of quality cookware and crockery.
The dining table has ample space to seat six, and delightful views out across the dales.
The traditionally finished ground floor bathroom has a very refined feel with part wooden panelled walls, a roll-top bath, basin and WC
There is also a generously sized separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, and ample countertop space and boot rack, ideal for drying out all your walking or hiking gear.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms which are all light, airy, have ample storage, and are beautifully dressed with superior hotel quality linens. The master bedroom has a super king size bed and double aspect south and west-facing views across the countryside. The second bedroom has a double bed with west facing views and the twin bedroom has south facing views.
There is also a second bathroom on the first floor, in a more contemporary style with a large walk-in shower enclosure, basin and WC.
Outside, there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy the extraordinary views across Swaledale, with a large patio to the front of the house having a chimenea and table and chairs. To the side of the house there is a second patio area with an additional set of furniture for outdoor dining and a Weber Kettle BBQ, great for an evening meal al fresco! From here there are then steps up to the lawned part of the garden, which has various fruit trees and a stream and small waterfall which runs intermittently.
There is private driveway parking for 2 cars in-front of the house.
Locally, The Punch Bowl Inn is next door, a quiet and charming country pub with excellent food and local beers. There is also a Fish and Chip Van travels through the dale on Friday evenings and stops opposite the house around 6.45pm.
The nearest shops are only 3 miles away in the small town of Reeth, which also has numerous hotels, a fabulous bakery, tea shops, galleries and gift shops. The Dales Bike Centre is located on the edge of the village and is a great resource for cyclists.
There is a local bus service which runs the length of the dale (Richmond to Keld) 3 or 4 times per day, although there are a great many walks straight from the front door!

Comfortable house with fabulous views

Next to a pub with fine beer, views over the Dales to look out on and a fire to sit by so who cares about the weather. Very cosy and magnificently equipped house that all three generations enjoyed for a week.
