Description
Beautifully renovated, and new for 2023 Ttich Manor is the perfect hideaway home for families and groups of friends looking for a picturesque retreat. The Grade II listed historic manor house is tucked away in a quiet, tranquil area with uninterrupted views and an acre of garden to explore.
The period property believed to date from the 12th Century has been recently modernised and refurbished whilst retaining its grand period features. Sleep up to 17 guests across four floors, with games room/arcade machine, music system, piano, seasonal outdoor hot tub (available between April and September only) and private sauna for guest use.
Transport back in time when you enter the sweeping driveway and are met by the eye-catching period property. Enter via the double doors onto the ground floor where you will find a traditional yet stylish dining room, with full height windows to allow light to cascade into this wonderful room. An expansive, period style lounge with U-shape sofas, smart TV, and Wi-Fi. Plus, large kitchen with all modern comforts including pod coffee machine, air fryer, three ovens, large fridge/freezer and waffle maker. With additional breakfast room, cloakroom, and utility.
The lower ground floor showcases elements of the old stone castle that once stood here, and offers a fantastic, entertaining, and spacious area for friends and families. With games room, Sony music system, private sauna and additional lounge located on this level.
The bedrooms are split between two further levels. On the 1st floor East Wing is one double bedroom with en suite and one single bedroom. On the 1st floor West Wing two double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms, two additional double bedrooms, one with a single bed and a family bathroom. On the 2nd floor you will find a double bedroom, a second bedroom with three single beds, additional bathroom, and further lounge area.
Behind the main house is, what was once, a formal garden again surrounded by mature trees and flora. From the main garden you are lead through an opening to a further expanse of garden from where you can enjoy views over local farmland. Lots of countryside walks along nearby rivers and lakes are available from your doorstep. Pets are welcome at the property, up to a maximum of four.
The traditional building provides a spacious retreat with all modern comforts which is suited to groups of families or friends looking for a peaceful getaway. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate stag/hen parties and large events at this home. An EV charger point is available at this property.
A historic building with many unique features, this is truly a one-of-a-kind property located in such a charming and tranquil setting, while still close to all the conveniences of Milton Keynes.
Please contact us for last-minute availability if your dates are within the next 7 days. All last-minute bookings are subject to BACS payment only for the booking total and security deposit before your booking will be confirmed. Please note the hot tub is available between April - September only.

The beds and bed linen!!!
Nobody found the beds comfortable and nobody slept well Son and daughter-in-law went to Dreams on Saturday morning to buy a mattress! We had to buy j cloths, black bin liners and kitchen roll we expected those items to be available or it would be good to know in advance that we needed to add them to our food delivery We expected toiletries to be provided The house offers accommodation for 16 but only 14 chairs are provided around the main dining table. We do all like to eat together so had to find spare chairs and squeeze them in The late withdrawal of the hot tub was most disappointing and the offer for us to cancel at the last minute was not on To get a family with huge commitments for work ie a Consultant in NHS A&E to be able to reschedule is not possible and she of all people deserves a relaxing break |

Hello Elisabeth,
Thank you for your review. I am glad that you enjoyed your space and that the property offered you a spacious and peaceful place to spend your annual family gathering. Thank you for your feedback. The hot tub was an unfortunate event out of our control therefore we understand this may have affected guests booking so offered a free cancellation as a gesture of good will. The property is self-catering so guests are expected to provide what they need during their stay this involves toiletries. Thank you for sharing we will look into the matters raised. |

House was lovely and the perfect size for our stay. We all had a lovely weekend.
Would certainly recommend for large parties as the dinning room was great for entertaining.

Here are some recommendations of where improvements could be made -
1. More cooking utensils needed in kitchen - very limited on knives and pans. Also not enough glasses.
2. No instructions provided for the hot tub - temperature was set at 22 desee more

No instructions provided for the hot tub - temperature was set at 22 degrees on arrival so we couldn't use on the first day of our stay. Also appeared to be leaking. 3. Not enough mirrors - for 13 women trying to get ready this was an issue. 4. Would be great if they was some Bluetooth speakers around the house and not just in the basement. |

Ttich Manor provided me and my family, 13 of us in total, with everything we needed for a fantastic week together. It had plenty of space for us all and four generations, aged from 17 months to 86 years, enjoyed what the property had to offer, especially the hot tub, the large garden, bbq and patio area and the comfortable lounge and beautiful dining room which both had seating for the whole group . The house was very well equipped and it was furnished to a high standard. The location is great and we found lots to do locally Willen Lake, Bletchley Park, Gulliver's Land Theme Park and Riverside Hub play centre are all within a half hour drive and there are lovely walks along the canal and river right from the door. We reported a few issues to the team at Finest Retreats and these were dealt with promptly which improved our stay.

As previous reviews have mentioned, the facilities for recycling and general waste are poor. When we arrived the main kitchen bin had not been emptied and the wheelie bins were overflowing. If guests were advised about the rubbish collection day I'm sure they would put the bins out ready for emptying.
It would be helpful to have a mirror in each bathroom. |

The rooms were spacious. The games room was a hit with the children especially on the rainy days and the Hot Tub was a hit with the adults! The Hot tub was clean and easily usable. The living room was really spacious and great for a games night! The location was fine, it’s next to a church and there are walks accessible along the canal, the supermarket is a very short-drive away, we also did a day trip to local soft-play, rock climbing and Willenlake. There was plenty for the young children to do and the garden was huge! We don’t usually stay at the same place twice but we would definitely recommend this property. |

Unfortunately the BBQ was unusable as it was quite rusty and old. We had purchased quite a bit of BBQ food and that was our plan for one of the days of our stay. We have stayed at several places across the UK and a Gas BBQ is always a hit!

It would have been helpful for the property owners to purchase more bins / request these from the council to accommodate the volume of rubbish from the property stays as whilst black bags are provided the foxes can get to these. It would have been helpful to have had at least one full toilet roll per bathroom especially for those staying 4 nights as an essential supply. The rugs were beautiful but unfortunately they moved and often were raised making it a trip hazard for the children and adults and needed to be straightened. Especially in the dinning room area. |

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful and very spacious home. There is plenty of room for 16 guests. The kitchen appliances are state of the art and the Jacuzzi was lovely. Garden was a great size and not overlooked. We were very spoilt with all the extras that this home has to offer.
