Castle House, located in the charming seaside village of Gulval near Penzance and is a brand new addition to Finest Retreats for 2023. This two-bedroom property comfortably accommodates up to four guests and features a lovely south-facing lawned garden and enclosed courtyard at the rear, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine.
Upon entering through the stunning stained-glass door, guests are welcomed into a spacious living room complete with a wood burner, flat screen TV, and Wi-Fi. An adjacent dining area provides ample space for families and friends to enjoy a meal together, prepared in the fully fitted kitchen, with all modern amenities including oven/hob, large fridge/freezer, and microwave.
At the rear of the property, an additional utility area provides perfect storage for those sandy buckets and spades or wetsuits after a day at the beach. The utility room leads to an enclosed paved courtyard with an outdoor WC.
Upstairs, the property has two bedrooms, one king-size and one double, both beautifully decorated and offering a comfortable place to rest after a day of exploring the local area. The hallway leads to a large family bathroom complete with a corner shower, freestanding bath, basin, and WC.
Castle House is a wonderful example of a classic character home in Gulval, and it is conveniently situated for accessing local amenities and activities, including Penzance, St Michaels Mount, and the many attractions of West Cornwall.
Famous for its pirates, you can soak in the atmosphere of the historic port town of Penzance. Go for a swim in the open-air pool, walk the Southwest Coast Path or spend time looking around the town, with plenty of high-street and independent shops on offer. Further afield why not seek out one of the many hidden coves around the local area, Lamorna Cove and Porthcurno to name a few, or take a trip to the fabulous beach at Sennen and watch the waves crash into the shore at Lands’ End.
