Capel Salem at Blaenau Ffestiniog is the perfect property for families and groups of friends looking for an idyllic retreat in Wales. Brand new for 2023, the chapel originally built in 1861 has been beautifully renovated to create a spacious open plan living area, with five bedrooms that can accommodate 10-12.
Enter through the former chapel doors into the open plan heart of the home, with spectacular high ceilings and contemporary style, it’s a real true gem. You can cook up a feast in the fully fitted kitchen and enjoy dining together for those special family occasions. With pool table, all modern amenities, dishwasher, washing machine and WiFi included.
Relax after a busy day and wind down in the ‘snug’ with large corner sofa and flatscreen smart TV. Two bathrooms are also on the ground floor, and separate utility area. Head upstairs to the bedrooms, with four spacious super king rooms, a king twin bedroom (to sleep up to 4 guests) and family bathroom. There is also a small, but lovely outdoor seating area.
Once a slate mining town, Blaenau Ffestiniog offers miles of mountain landscapes with old quarries, rivers, various lakes and walking/mountain biking routes to explore. Antur Stiniog is home to 14 different mountain bike trails – varying from suitable for beginners to expert. Bikes are available to hire in the town, and it’s well worth having a stroll around to visit a host of independent and welcoming cafes, shops and pubs.
With parking for two vehicles, it’s a fantastic home from home to stay and unwind with family and friends! A cot, highchair and stairgates are available at this home for younger guests. For further information and bookings please contact Finest Retreats.

The whole house was impeccably clean, comfy and although it was chilly when we arrived, the heating kicked in really fast. We loved that the dining table was laid out and looked really nice for dinner. I have nothing negative to add! Plenty of space see more

The cleaning could be looked in to. We found a couple of items from previous guests, some of the furniture & glass tables hadn’t been cleaned & cobwebs.

Perfect for a large familyfor sharing with multiple familys as the three bathrooms and 5 bedrooms give alot of room to socialise aswell as private space. Plenty of parking although the drive has a steep drop off the front. Lots of things in the area see more

Lots of things in the area to do and if you wanted to just hang at the house the pool table, board games and huge tv are a massive bonus! I will definitely be recommending the house to others and would happily be a returning visitor.

Was not as clean as I was expecting as bedding was dirty so had to wash before sleeping and alot of cobwebs,spiders and dust in windows and on shelving units as well as a few broken bits like a toilet seat and a bathroom door lock but otherwise a beasee more

The chapel was extremely well done up to the highest standard. The weather wasn't good so it was lovely to have a beautiful place to spend time in. Plenty of room, a very large tv with all the apps. Plenty of games. The kitchen had every utensil, potsee more

The location was ideal for what we wanted - we visited Zip World, Llechwedd (literally 5mins down the road) walked Snowdon, Zip World Betws-Y-Coed, Black Rock Sands at Morfa Bychan near Porthmadog amongst other beautiful walks in the area.

Amazing property in a beautiful place, with lots of outdoors things to do right on the doorstep! Would be ideal for walkers and mountain bikers,just anyone wanting to get outside. Great for families/group of friends.

Amazing house, every single person in our group loved it. We used this as base for exploring snowdonia and zipworld and it did not disappoint! We were always entertained by the facilities (Pool, table tennis, board games, trivia and use of the TV). The open floor plan was fantastic and social and the bedrooms were huge and comfortable. I would highly recommend this house for familiesa group of friends to stay.
