Welcome to The Piggery, a heavenly hideaway for two overlooking Mount Pleasant’s beautiful duck pond and outstandingly beautiful Warwickshire countryside. The Piggery is a newly converted barn for 2023 offering a rustic chic luxury getaway.
With bags of original features including beamed ceilings and a galleried, vaulted bedroom through to contemporary touches, such as the underfloor heating, a super-luxe bed and fabulous home from home comforts, this is a dog-friendly retreat that perfectly blends interior style with farmhouse tradition.
The dual-aspect beamed living area is a cosy yet light space - perfect for relaxing in. Carefully styled with luxury, country-chic furnishings and accessories and soft Farrow & Ball paint schemes, it includes a fully equipped kitchen with oven, induction hob and dishwasher. A stunning handmade oak staircase rises to the first-floor galleried bedroom in the eaves of the barn. Striking with its statement headboard, it boasts a sumptuous king-sized Loaf mattress perfect for a blissful night's sleep. The adjoining en-suite bathroom offers not only a separate walk-in shower, but also a traditional cast-iron bath tub complete with premium toiletries for soaking the day away in pure luxury. A heated rail keeps towels warm and fluffy, too!
Elegant French doors lead from the living area out onto the terrace - completely enclosed and dog safe too. It offers a large gas BBQ and beautifully elegant garden furniture.
Nestled above the historic 16th Century hamlet and private estate of Walton, The Shooting Lodge (sleeps two), The Coach House (sleeps 4-6) and The Piggery (sleeps two) represents the ultimate in country retreats. All can be booked together under The Big Barn for larger groups up to 10.
This property is located in the Golden Triangle where the joys of honey coloured Cotswolds villages, historic Warwick and Shakespeare’s Stratford are all within arm’s reach of each other. Cotswolds towns such as Chipping Campden, Stow and Moreton in Marsh are all on your doorstep. The historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon, world-famous as the birthplace of Shakespeare and home of the Royal Shakespeare Company is only a 15 minute drive away, and is not to be missed. A similar distance away is the town of Warwick, brimming with parks, gardens and fascinating architecture, although most well-known for its incredible huge medieval castle.

Anthony & Julia were so friendly and had thought of everything we could have needed for our stay,

We had a wonderful weekend away at The Piggery. Julia and Anthony were incredibly welcoming and
kind. They have decorated the barn beautifully and have made it a home away from home. The
outdoor area was especially great for the summer evenings and tsee more

location is idyllic and very quiet. Our hosts Anthony and Julia were so welcoming and the barn was just stunning! The craftsmanship and care with which it has been lovingly and sympathetically designed was clear to see - much of the wood having been grown and seasoned in the estate itself. Everything one could possibly need for a stay was available - and the views were absolutely beautiful. We would highly recommend a visit - but just one word of warning - we felt so relaxed and comfortable - it really was difficult to tear ourselves away to explore the surrounding area! |

From the moment you walk through the door, you instantly feel relaxed, every little detail has been well thought out and no budget has been spared on creating the perfect country get away. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and even welcomed with a bottle of wine and a cake. To top it off….that view. Surrounded by beautiful English countryside, sheep and a real sense of tranquil peace and quiet. Would most definitely recommend and will most certainly be back again soon. Thank you again. |
