The location of the house was great, close to Hungerford. From there you can see enough without too much driving, there is a train from Hungerford directly to London. Everything you need was present in the house and it was also neat

On the booking site there is a picture of the owner's house, but you don't stay there. This is situated in a converted horse stable behind the house. This was a fine house, but it's about the idea.

The second bedroom was a little cramped for 2 adults and the velux window above one of the beds leaked.

It was an ideal escape from London, offering plenty of space and comfort for us to unwind. We enjoyed exploring the nearby countryside with muddy walks. The local pub (Wheatshead) served delicious food, but our favourite local was Cobbs Farm (which also had a soft play!) The cottage was equipped with everything we needed, including things for the children like toys, cot and good blinds for the bedroom. This thoughtful touch made our stay even more enjoyable. |
