Finest Retreats are pleased to present Unerigg, a charming and spacious detached holiday cottage offering a perfect blend of comfort and stunning natural beauty. Nestled on a private road, this property features breath-taking views over Grasmere Lake and the surrounding fells, ensuring an unforgettable stay.
Unerigg has been family-owned since the 1960s and offers views that will leave you spellbound. The property regularly attracts local wildlife, including red deer and red squirrels. The expansive living room, with its large picture window overlooking the lake, is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Located a short stroll from the charming village of Grasmere, guests can explore excellent restaurants, tea rooms, and bars. For nature enthusiasts, numerous walking trails start right from the doorstep, including the picturesque Grasmere and Rydal Water circuit.
The ground floor of Unerigg offers various amenities for your convenience and enjoyment. On the ground floor, you’ll find a games room featuring a table tennis table. The first of four bedrooms is located on the ground floor and includes twin single beds, a Freeview TV, and an ensuite shower room with basin. Additionally, there is a ground floor WC for convenience.
Head upstairs, where you'll find a spacious living/dining room that features a 40" Freeview Smart TV, Blu-ray player, and a cosy wood burner. The large picture window in this room provides a mesmerizing view of the lake. The modern kitchen is equipped with a breakfast bar, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. A second dining room provides an additional seating area with panoramic views, perfect for family gatherings.
The sleeping arrangements on this floor include Bedroom 2, which has a beautiful four-poster double bed, Bedroom 3 with a comfortable king bed, and Bedroom 4 with twin single beds. There is also a bathroom with a bath and shower over it, a heated towel rail, and a toilet. Additionally, a separate shower room with a shower cubicle and toilet completes the accommodation.
The house boasts underfloor oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, and Wi-Fi, all included in your stay. Initial logs for the wood burner are provided, with additional logs available at cost. For families with young children, a cot, highchair, baby monitor, and stair gate are available upon request.
Outside, enjoy a large lawned garden with patio and garden furniture, perfect for outdoor dining and relaxation. There is also a bike store for safe storage of bicycles and private parking space for up to 4 cars. For water enthusiasts, the property offers exclusive lake access, allowing you to launch kayaks or paddleboards directly onto the lake. This fantastic property welcomes a total of 4 dogs, which owners are kindly asked to keep off the sofas and out of the bedrooms (first two stay for free, an additional £25 per dog is charged after that).

The position was stunning, views over the lake were a joy to experience, particularly if you're an early riser. The house is so spacious and the right temperature. We were there with our family (6 people) and there was room for everyone to have theirsee more

We were there with our family (6 people) and there was room for everyone to have their own space and enjoy being together. The lounge area is perfect with huge sofas for everyone to chill after a day's exploring. The kitchen is great space and equipped with everything you could need and there were more bathrooms than we could have wanted. The garage table tennis was great fun for everyone :) Hannah our contact was very communicative and helpful at all times. I felt I could rely on her completely in the event of needing assistance. Fantastic stay, and wonderful memories made. Thanks so much!!

Loved the location ,the views were amazing and the private access to the lake was great for our paddle-boarding.
Lots of walks locally so from the door which was great.
The property was beautiful plenty of room for us as a family of 7 adults.

Unerigg is perfect. 9 of us including 2 children and a baby plus our dog stayed from Friday to Monday and had a wonderful time.

Check-in was really straightforward with Hannah advising us of the key code on the morning of arrival. The house had absolutely everything that we needed including a table tennis table and numerous games to keep us amused. The house is two stories wisee more

The house had absolutely everything that we needed including a table tennis table and numerous games to keep us amused. The house is two stories with the upper floor consisting of the main living space. The view from the living room and dining room is spectacular. This alone was worth every penny. Grasmere is approximately a 10 minute stroll away. The only problem we did have is that the local supermarket has closed. This meant we had to drive to Ambleside to stock up although the lovely hamper that was left for us did keep us going. Would definitely recommend abd xant wait to rebook and return again.
