Description
Garden Coombe is a wonderful little retreat for two guests, just a few minutes walk to join the coast path and less than a mile walk down onto the golden sand at Bossiney Cove. Being a detached annex situated next to the owners property, there is off-road parking on the main drive, and a sunny corner outside with bistro table and chairs.
Inside, there is an open plan space offering comfortable sofa with a flat screen tv, full kitchen and dining facilities, and lovely coastal decor to compliment the character of the original stone walls. The bedroom is down one step off the main living area, and has a small double bed with ample storage and hanging space.
Locally, there are plenty of amenities close at hand, with Tintagel being within walking distance less than a mile away. Here there are shops, tearooms, convenience stores and plenty more to explore. The pretty village of Boscastle is also close by, with the River Valency running though the centre and leading down to the harbour.
The historic remains of Tintagel Castle are not to be missed, perched high upon the dramatic cliff top and accessed by a stunning cantilever bridge joining it to the mainland. A little further north, the Trethevy Cliffs are also well worth exploring, with stunning scenery and wide expansive views of the Atlantic.
The picturesque harbour of Port Isaac, made famous by the TV show Doc Martin is only 12 miles distant, and the larger town of Wadebridge is 16 miles.

The location was a short walk to Tintagel and practically on the coast path. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful and were able to provide lots of great tips about places to go and local history. The cottage itself was very well equipped - we spent a month there and there wasn’t anything missing that we might have needed for such an extended stay. We were even provided with somewhere to store and dry off our wet and muddy walking gear and swimming stuff! We will definitely visit again.

Nothing except no internet was disappointing but it gave me time to write so maybe a blessing in disguise. Also a dryerdrying rack would have been nice.

Fantastic location, close to tintagel and coastal walking routes, yet tucked away for total peace and quiet, a cosy little haven!

We head such a lovely time in Garden Coombe. Garvin, our host, met us on our first evening and talked us through some lovely local walks and gave us some pointers. The property itself was really well equipped (particularly the kitchen) and the bedroom cosy. Lovely views out of the kitchen window towards the sea out the back of the property too. This was a perfect spot for us to base and explore the gorgeous local area. Would certainly recommend this property. Thank you.

Lovely accommodation with everything we needed, and the location (easy walk into Tintagel, very close to St Nectans) was perfect. Thank you very much!
