the house could do with a little TLC and modernising - it still has the feel of a B&B upstairs and felt a little damp in places (there was a huge birds nest in the front guttering that wouldnt help). the info book is a little out of date and we coulbekijk meer

Perfect for families and walkers as there is the fabulous Dunstanburgh Castle near by. Surrounded by very good restaurants in the nearby villages. The house itself was roomy for all 6 of us with our well behaved dog. The instructions to get in to thebekijk meer
Perfect for families and walkers as there is the fabulous Dunstanburgh Castle near by. Surrounded by very good restaurants in the nearby villages. The house itself was roomy for all 6 of us with our well behaved dog. The instructions to get in to the property were easy to understand. We especially loved playing the board games (which were left in the house for us to use), whilst sitting over looking the harbour in the private patio area. Thank you so much to the hosts, it was a privilege to stay in your beautiful home, looking forward to returning in the near future!

Lovely home-from-home cottage in small village with amazing views.

The village location was perfect. The cottage is right in the heart of the small village overlooking the harbour. We enjoyed the convenience of the private parking and the on your doorstep scenery and vistas. It was great that the pub was a 2 minute bekijk meer

We enjoyed the convenience of the private parking and the on your doorstep scenery and vistas. It was great that the pub was a 2 minute walk away in one direction and in the other Dunstanburgh Castle was less than 2 miles away on a lovely coastal walk across fields with views of the castle and cliffs all the way. The picturesque harbour across the road was visible from the main bedrooms and the famous smokehouse of craster was opposite the pub. We loved the location. The inside of the house was very spacious and had everything we needed.

It was a shame that the garden wasn't suitable for the children to play in. The back patio had bits of wood lying about and extremely thorny bushes and the front garden is elevated with a drop to the harbour side and not enclosed enough.

It certainly is a character cottage in such a picturesque location. In regards to your comments about the garden we are a little confused as the front garden is fully enclosed and very safe, with decking laid over it all. It is also double width, where the other gardens are single. We understand there is a neighbouring property which has no fence so trust this was perhaps the confusion. The accommodation in Craster Northumbria was excellent in all respects, especially the large deck located at the front house which was overlooking the harbour was heaven sent for our grandchildren. As we have visited Craster before usually twice a year, we will inevitably now use this provider as our go to company.
