West Down - Cottage

We felt the house was not very well equipped, one tea towel for a week and no kitchen towel, no bath mats in either bathroom. Kitchen was not very well equipped, the house for us was too far away from the beach which was our fault and not the house. There is nothing around it so you had to drive again our fault. We couldn't find any keys for the front door only the back which if the weather was good it was a pain having to go all round the house to get to the outside area. Lacking of seats in the kitchen as the house sleeps 8 but there was only 5 chairs at the kitchen table. Maybe a note about low beams as my family are all over 6ft and these was an issue on many occasions. The house was clean but not spotless, we had to move the settee seats and underneath was full of bits, hair bands, peanuts etc. not great. The house lacked that loved and lived in feel. We understand the family have moved out to travel and it looked like they have just packed up their belongings and left a few items to make it feel lived in. Saying all above we enjoyed our stay but the above we would not give it a gold star

Cleanliness was a slight let down particularly downstairs
