The hosts were amazing and so very friendly, we had the pleasure to meet them both. The cottage is a home from home with everything you could want to have the perfect break, the bed was so comfortable,, what a week,,, we will be back for sure A* break ❤️

So clean!!! absolutely spotless. Also very comfortable bed and bedding. Well equipped kitchen, all was working. Lounge very spacious and great sofa , perfect for relaxing. We can definitely recommend staying!! Thanks again

Appreciated the call the day before travelling to Mold. Immaculate accommodation. We had a wonderful time, visited Chester & Liverpool, despite the terrible weather! It was a well needed break.

We agree with the comment ‘architecturally interesting’! A delightfully peaceful cottage with a great garden to sit in. Very clean and comfortable. The photos don’t do it justice. We were very glad we could be accommodated at short notice - 2 hours in fact, after our planned accommodation fell through! Thank you!

This is our second stay at The Cottage. We love the cottage and the garden. The sofa is huge and brilliant for relaxing, and the bed comfortable. Sandra and Allan have created a beautiful place to stay in and are friendly and helpful. The area is so lovely, with loads to see and do. It's also very quiet in the Cottage and a relief for us city-dwellers who need a break from the constant noise of a city. We'll be back!

Cosy, comfortable - either as a retreat to chill out ina base from which to discover North Wales. Lovely private outdoor area for breakfasting, lunch, relaxingreading etc (if the weather permits) and large grassy lawn for sunbathing, exercise, yoga etc. A good find.

Tastefully designed and equipped, the cottage is an ideal base for a couple to explore north east Wales, Chester and Liverpool. The owners were welcoming and delightful.

Breakfast not applicable as self-catering. Location peaceful and quiet, exactly as we wanted. Cottage perfect. Well furnished, comfortable, everything provided.

The Cottage has loads of character and decorated and equipped to a very high standard.
It is very clean and immaculate throughout.
The Cottage had everything we needed and has lovely garden to the back which gets the afternoon and early evening sunshine and is visited by rabbits, squirrels and a wide range of birds. There is private off road parking.
It is in an ideal location to visit North Wales and has lots of country walks.
The booking process and contact with Finest Retreats has been very good and Sandra the owner contacted us with the final details a couple of days prior to our stay.

Clean cottage, very well appointed, about 12 minutes from Mold and 45 minutes from Wrexham. This was a great base and had ample room inside for a single personcouple. The large back garden bordered a wooded area, bringing wildlife closer. Guaranteed parking beside the house, the front was a courtyard shared with another cottage. The bedroom was large and comfortable with a tv a bathroom with a large bath and shower completed the upstairs. Downstairs there was an ample kitchen with small dining area and a large living/lounge room with French doors opening onto the garden. The garden itself was a delight, with rabbits and squirrels spotted morning and evening. The wifi worked well!

Beautiful little cottage in a lovely location. Ideal of you need to relax, enjoy walking and have a passion for wildlife. It was just perfect.

The cottage was well equipped with everything you need for a peaceful relaxing break. The location of the cottage meant it was no more than 30-40 minutes by car from most tourist destinations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we hope to return one day.

My wife and I have been stuck in the UK since Christmas due to an inbound flight issue in Hong Kong. We were grateful to be able to secure a booking at The Cottage.
It is a beautiful home, well maintained with everything we required to make us comfortable.
Location-wise, it is stunning, surrounded by natural beauty and some phenomenal walks on the doorstep.
I would truly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a calming retreat.
