More normal sized mugs for tea would be useful. Some bin bags available would have been good as previous people hadn’t used them so I had to clean the inside of the bin out as it was really smelly and horrid. Shame the doors upstairs are really noisymehr anzeigen

We arrived during an unusually cold spell in June and needed the heating on to take the chill off the place but it was hard to find the instructions and being a weekend emergency only calls were acceptable.

We had a most enjoyable stay at this will furnished and extremely clean cottage. The accommodation was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with all the utensils and appliances you require. The cottage is well positioned for easy walkinmehr anzeigen

The cottage is well positioned for easy walking access into the centre of Buxton or onto the adjacent hills. We would highly recommend this property for a short or long term stay and would certainly consider coming back in the future.

This is a really well equipped holiday cottage, very comfortable and charming. If you like cooking the kitchen has everything you need including oil, seasoning and plenty of cleaning gear. There were enough dishwasher tablets for one wash a day - onemehr anzeigen
This is a really well equipped holiday cottage, very comfortable and charming. If you like cooking the kitchen has everything you need including oil, seasoning and plenty of cleaning gear. There were enough dishwasher tablets for one wash a day - one of many considerate touches which showed the owners really thought about their guests' needs. The garden is very nice although the sofa set shown in the photos is no longer there. We really appreciated the treats that had been left for us. Plus the full log basket was a real treat which we made full use of.
In short this felt like staying in someone's very well appointed home and I would definitely return. |

A pair of kitchen tongs was the only bit of equipment I missed but would be handy.
Other than that it is perfect.

The cottage was beautiful and as described. Communication before arrival was good. Location was great and as we took our dog it was so handy having two paths right next to the cottage which led to the lovely park and Buxton town centre. The centre hamehr anzeigen

Location was great and as we took our dog it was so handy having two paths right next to the cottage which led to the lovely park and Buxton town centre. The centre had a nice selection of shops and plenty of pubs (most of which were dog friendly). Also visited Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath all within a 35min drive of Buxton and worth a visit. The only negative about the cottage was that the grass in the lovely garden hadn’t been mown but this did not ruin our stay. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

A lovely cottage a few minutes walk from Buxton Centre and Pooles Cavern. Parking for two cars and the cottage had everything needed for a well catered long weekend.
